How to Make Cold Chocolate Cake

cold chocolate cake
Ever since  I learned to make this cake (which is more like a pie) I have made it over 10 times and it hasn’t gotten old yet! The reason I love it is because you only need three ingredients AND it takes less than 10 minutes! I originally found this recipe on Facebook from Kiwilimon, a food, dessert, and drink page that I follow. The original recipe calls for a hand made Oreo crust, but to save time, I make it without the crust or just purchase the crust that is already made.

Ingredients:

  • Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 bag of semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Packet of Unflavored Gelatin 7/8 oz.
  • Optional – Graham Cracker Pie crust
  • Instructions:
    1. 1. Pour 1 cup of heavy whipping cream into a microwave safe bowl.
    2. 2. Put in the microwave for 1 min
    3. 3. While the whipping cream is in the microwave pour unflavored gelatin in a cup and add 5 TBLS of water
    4. 4. Mix until all of the clumps are gone and set aside
    5. 5. Remove the whipping cream from the microwave and add one cup of semi sweet chocolate chips
    6. 6. Mix well and put it in back in the microwave for 1 minute
    7. 7. Remove the mix from the microwave
    8. 8. Mix well and Add unflavored gelatin, mix and microwave for 30sec to 1 minute
    9. 9. Once All of the chocolate chunks are melted and you mix it all one last time, pour it into a graham cracker crust or your baking pan of choice.
I hope you enjoy this chocolatey goodness!
